Tasha R. Gray moved to Frankfort in 2017 and began working at Simon House in August of 2021. She started as a part-time Administrative Assistant. In 2023 she was promoted to Administrative Community Services Manager, and in May 2024 she was named the new Executive Director of Simon House. Tasha has two children, Charlotte Lucille and Scuba Dane. She enjoys spending time with her children, collecting plants and volunteering in her community. Tasha is a graduate of Leadership Frankfort (class of 2024), and the Frankfort Police Department’s Citizen Police Academy (class of 2024). Ms. Gray is on the boards of The Friends of the Franklin County Farmer’s Market, and The Emergency Community Food Pantry of Franklin, Inc. She is also an Ambassador for the Frankfort Area Chamber of Commerce. Tasha understands homelessness and the complex problems that come with being unhoused; as she was a homeless, single mother in 2016. With this knowledge and her current work, she has dedicated her life to changing the way people look at homelessness. Her passion is helping the unhoused population battle & prevent homelessness and ending food insecurity in Frankfort and surrounding communities.

They've shaped the way she sees the world and constantly reminds her why this works matters. Being their mom inspires Whitney to show up every day. Whitney also loves the outdoors and strives to bring light and joy wherever she can. She is passionate about supporting individuals and families through a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach. She believes everyone deserves to feel seen, be heard, and be supported - especially when facing life's hardest moments. You never know what someone is going through, and the smallest act of kindness could mean so much to someone else.
